What is a Trading Point?

A Trading Point is what is used as currency between members during a transaction. Trading Points are given to the seller for the item being bought by the buyer. Trading Points are also given by PriorAttire.com to the buyer for timely feedback about the item received. Trading Points can also be purchased in the My Wallet section of your account.

5 Trading points are given for each item you have active in your closet. Trading points are added to your account within 24 hours of the posting.

What is a Swap Credit?

A swap credit is used to facilitate a trade. They are free of charge.

What is Feedback?

Feedback is a system designed to help you see how a particular seller operates. Using a 5 star rating system (5 stars being the best), you can see at a glance how this sellers previous transactions were rated. Participation in our feedback system is mandatory, but in return you will be gifted Trading Points.

Here's an example of how this works:

For a Buyer:

• You need size 11 boys/men's shoes (25 Trading Points)
• Browse the inventory and find the shoes.
• Click “initiate trade”. This will send an email request to the seller.
• The seller accepts your request and mails you the shoes.
• 25 Trading Points are deducted from your account.
• If you need to purchase Trading Points, you can for $0.25 per Trading Point.
• When you have received the shoes, complete the transaction by providing feedback about your experience and you will be gifted Trading Points.

For a seller:

• You have some size 11 boys/men's shoes that your child wore once and has now outgrown.
• Take a picture or two of the shoes, and add them to your Prior Attire “closet”.
• Remember to mark the item as “Active” so that it shows up when people browse our inventory.
• When a potential buyer wants your shoes, you will receive an email request. You can accept or reject the trade. If you accept the trade, you agree to mail the shoes to the buyer (at your expense) within the time frame specified.
• When the buyer receives the shoes, you are credited with the Trading Points for the trade. If the buyer leaves positive feedback about the trade, you are gifted with additional Trading Points.

How much is my item worth?

All items are assigned a Trading Point value based on their category. For example, all dresses have the same point value. See the Point Value Table for the values assigned to each type of item.

How does shipping work?

The seller is responsible for shipping the item. Standard mail (USPS) is what we recommend. Delivery confirmation and insurance can be added at the seller’s discretion. The seller will be gifted Trading Points once the buyer has completed the mandatory feedback indicating a successful trade.

You can purchase Trading Points. You are not obligated to sell any items.

I just want to sell…

You can save your accumulated Trading Points indefinitely.

What does PriorAttire.com do?

We are a website created to allow you to outfit your kids in gently used/good-as-new dress clothes.

• If you have ever needed an item of clothing that you child will only wear once due to sizing or a limited number of opportunities to wear it before it is outgrown.
• If you have a child who wants a new dressy outfit for each new party.

At PriorAttire.com you can empty your closets of clothing your family won’t wear again and find dress clothing that will fit your family.

What happens if the item received is not in the condition as described?

You can make a request to PriorAttire.com that your trading points be returned.
